Senior Women

GCU 3-0 Western Pride

United rounded out an undefeated pre-season with a convincing 3-0 over Western Pride at Robina Raptors on Sunday.

Meg Mcelligot took her pre-season tally to eight goals with a brace before Dee Thompson chipped in with her first goal for the club to secure the result.

Head coach Michael Cook was delighted with the intensity shown by his side and said they were ready to go ahead of next weekend’s NPL opener away to Mitchelton.

“Our senior women’s team played a solid game, they were in control of the contest throughout.”

“After a heavy pre-season work load over the past three weeks, it was very pleasing to see the players able to still dominate the contest.”

“The team is in a great place heading into the start of the season next week.”
